Mountain Bike

Introduction:

This is a longer biking trip that sees the most important ruins on the highlands between Cusco and the Urubamba valley, with a constant view of snow capped mountains on the other side of the valley.We travel over gentle green hills and pass through picturesque small towns

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco / Cruzpata / Moray Complex / Salt Mines of Salineras / Urubamba / Cusco

We will meet at our office at 8:00, and then we will go toward Chincheros by bus . Once there we will start biking through beautiful landscapes, in the route we will appreciate the Huaypo lagoon, the archaeological site of Moray which has Interesting agriculture terraces, and finally we will visit the salt mines of Maras (Salineras).
Finishing the trip in Urubamba, we will have lunch and then take a bus back to Cusco

What you need to bring/carry:

• Shorts and comfortable clothes to ride the bike.
• Sun block, sunglasses
• Windbreaker
• Small backpack
• Bottle of water, personal snacks 

RAIN SEASON:

December to March. Some days are with blue sky permiting to cycle this zone.

BEST TIME FOR CYCLE:

After rain season (April to June) the mountains are completely covered with snow and the slops are cover with new vegetation making more nice for pictures.
