Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving at Lima

In arriving at the airport a host will welcome you and help you in registering at your chosen hotel.

Day 2: Lima / City Tour 

Tour through the viceroyal and contemporary Lima. This half day tour comprises both the spanish and present day sections of this capital regarded since the colonial times as "the city of the kings”. In this day you`ll walk around the majestic main square (Plaza de Armas) which is surrounded by the imposing cathedral and the stylish Government Palace (Palacio de Gobierno), getting along to the republican Torre Tagle Palace which is at present seat of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. We’ll get along towards the nowadays Lima visiting the exclusive towns of San Isidro and Miraflores both located beside the Pacific coast.

Day 3: Lima / Cusco by plane / City tour

Transport to the airport heading for the imperial Cusco.
Tour through the Cusco city and its surroundings, getting at the Sacsayhuaman fortress This tour also includes imposing sites surrounding the city such as the ruins of Kenko, Puca-pucara and Tambomachay. Centuries ago the center of the Inca civilization, the modern Cusco is a perfect and magical blending of the original Inca style and the european architecture. Examples of this are the huge Cathedral, the Korikancha (temple of the Sun) which magnify the main square (Plaza de Armas).

Day 4: Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas

Whole day excursion to the picturesque Pisac village and its Indian Market plenty of motley pottery and typical hand-made clothes. Later we’ll get along to the Ollantaytambo fortress inside the archaeological complex. Early setting off to the little town of Pisac getting through the spectacular and beautiful valley.
After having lunch the tour get along towards the enchanting village of Ollantaytambo for visitingt the amazing Inca fortress.

Day 5: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco

Early in the morning waking up for a train ride along the sacred valley of Urubamba towards the majestic Machu Picchu, the renown "Lost City of the Incas”. Located 2,200 ASL, it was isolated from the scholarship knowledge by mountains and covered by semi-tropical wildly vegetation during more than four centuries until it was discovered by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham of Yale University in 1911. Scholars believe that the Inca "Virgins of the Sun" took refuge from the Spanish conquerors in this magnificent citadel. Guided tour through the ruins and lunch are included.

Day 6: Andean Village and Salt Pans

Getting at Maras (Salt Pans) and the Andean village. Morning tour around the impressing salt pans made up of emerging water from a lake inside a mountain of the Urubamba Valley. Getting along our tour we’ll know an genuine and still living Quechua Village where we’ll get familiar with the Inca ways and customary thanks to its inheritors. You’ll admire the Quechua children scamping about while woman weaves their family's clothes. With no doubt a worthwhile experience!

Day 7: Cusco

Free day in the city for particular activities like walking around this magical and exciting capital of the Incas, roaming through the inspiring narrow streets adorned by houses witth reddish tile roofs dating back to the colonial. This will be for sure an unforgettable experience. You can afford the purchases of inca-motive products in the traditional Inca market, alpaca-wool sweaters and rugs, ponchos, pottery, gold and silver jewelry, leather goods, etc.

Day 8: Cusco / Lima

Transport to the airport for flying to Lima. Visit to the zoo.

Day 9: Lima / Airport

Transport from the hotel to the airport
